How augmented reality is set to transform retail!

The retail industry is in a state of flux. Retail executives are facing difficult choices as COVID-19 is accelerating changes in shopping behavior. The pandemic has accelerated the shift towards a more digital world and triggered changes in online shopping behaviors that are likely to have lasting effects. With more people shopping online, even in the post covid era, retailers are and will find it harder to get customers into their physical stores. This has led many brick-and-mortar retailers to invest in augmented reality (AR) technology to help them make the experience for their shoppers more interactive and engaging.

Recently, I have been getting a lot of calls from retailers who are looking to adopt immersive digital methods for offline shopping to increase their revenue, drive consumer engagement and improve brand awareness and loyalty. After studying their business models closely, most of the time I end up suggesting to them the Integration of AR into their businesses.

For those who don’t know much about AR -

AR relies on computer vision, graphics, sensors, and other technologies to present a mixed reality experience that combines what we see in our physical space with virtual objects or content.

Imagine how much more likely a customer is to buy something from the store if they can see a virtual 3D version of the product before they even buy it. Customers can bring virtual 3D products into their homes and get a true sense of how the product will look with their existing decorating style.

Revolutionary! Isn’t it?

Augmented reality is an incredible tool that will exponentially increase sales for retail stores, and now’s not too late to join in on all the fun!
